Job summary

Duncan & Ross Consulting in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced Electrical QA/QC Inspector to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and applicable codes across large-scale building or infrastructure projects. You will review submittals, ITPs, FAT/SAT, and handover documents, coordinate with project teams, and support final inspections, snagging and handover activities.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, at least 5 years

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE/GCC experience in electrical QA/QC inspection.
• Experience with IEC, BS, DEWA/ADDC/TAQA, QCS standards.
• Familiar with IRs, NCRs, WIRs, FAT/SAT, and handover documentation.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical inspections in coordination with stakeholders to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and standards.
• Monitor LV/HV systems, power distribution, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, and ELV works.
• Prepare, review, and maintain QA/QC documentation including IRs, checklists, test reports, and handover dossiers.
• Review submittals, method statements, ITPs, and shop drawings.
• Ensure site activities follow approved method statements and quality procedures.
• Identify non-conformances, raise NCRs, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Support audits and internal/external quality reviews.
• Coordinate with construction/testing teams to ensure quality at all project stages.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements during inspections.
• Support final inspections, snagging, testing, and handover.

Job description

• Conduct electrical inspections in coordination with the Consultant, Client, and Project Team to ensure full compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, and standards.
• Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning activities for LV/HV systems, power distribution, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, and ELV systems as applicable.
• Prepare, review, and maintain QA/QC documentation, including inspection requests (IRs), checklists, test reports, material approvals, and handover dossiers.
• Review and verify material submittals, method statements, ITPs, and shop drawings related to electrical works prior to execution.
• Ensure site activities are carried out in accordance with approved method statements, ITPs, and quality procedures.
• Identify non-conformances, raise NCRs, and coordinate with the QA/QC Engineer and site team to ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in internal, client, and external audits, inspections, and quality reviews.
• Coordinate with construction, testing, and commissioning teams to ensure quality compliance at all project stages.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, quality policies, and site safety regulations during all inspection activities.
• Support final inspections, snagging, testing, and project handover activities.

Key Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the UAE/GCC, preferably with Main Contracting companies
• Proven experience in electrical QA/QC inspection, testing, and documentation for large-scale building or infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of IEC, BS, DEWA/ADDC/TAQA, QCS, and project-specific standards.
• Familiar with IRs, NCRs, WIRs, FAT/SAT, and handover documentation.
• Good communication and coordination skills with consultants and project teams
