Job summary

Atkins Realis Group seeks a seasoned Resident Engineer - Civil to supervise construction, installation, testing and commissioning of 132 kV+ substations in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure adherence to project specs, quality, safety and schedules.

You will coordinate with contractors and clients, witness testing, review reports, and oversee site progress to resolve technical issues and ensure timely delivery of critical electrical infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 15+ years of experience in substation projects, especially 132 kV and above.
• Experience with AIS/GIS substations, testing & commissioning, and construction supervision.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction and installation activities for AIS GIS substations 132 kV and above.
• Monitor the erection of transformers, switchgear, CTs, VTs, isolators, protection panels, SCADA and associated equipment.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and HSE requirements.
• Witness testing and commissioning activities and review test reports.
• Coordinate with contractors, clients and project teams to ensure timely project delivery.
• Monitor project progress and prepare site reports.
• Identify and resolve technical and construction issues at site.

We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer - Civil responsible for supervising the construction installation testing and commissioning of 132 kV and above substations ensuring compliance with project specifications quality standards safety requirements and schedule commitments

Your role

About you
