Job summary

Relq Technologies Llc. in Dubai region is seeking a Sr. QA Automation Engineer for a remote 6-month contract to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for web and API applications.

You will work with developers, product owners, and DevOps in an Agile environment to ensure automated functional, regression, and performance testing at scale.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and executing automated test suites.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Proficient in web and API testing methodologies.
• Hands-on with Selenium, Cypress or Playwright.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and version control.
• Good documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts and frameworks.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.
• Collaborate with developers and business teams to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, planning, retrospectives).

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to ensure high-quality software delivery. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams in an Agile environment to ensure functional, regression, and performance testing are automated and scalable.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts and frameworks
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing
• Collaborate with developers and business teams to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA
• Execute automated test suites and analyze test results
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
• Ensure test coverage for web, API, and backend applications
• Support UAT and production validation when required
• Follow best practices for test automation and QA standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in QA Automation testing
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as:
  • Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit
• Programming experience in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#
• Experience with API testing (Postman, RestAssured, SOAP UI)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab)
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong understanding of STLC and SDLC
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Nice to Have (Preferred)

• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)
