The ideal candidate has 3–6 years in software testing, with at least 2 years in automation, and strong scripting skills across Java, Python, or JavaScript.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3–6 years of software testing experience with at least 2 years in automation testing.
• Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, Appium or similar frameworks.
• Proficiency in Java, C#, Python, JavaScript or other test automation languages.
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Rest Assured) and SQL.

Job Title – Automation Software Tester

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-driven Automation Software Tester to design, develop, and execute automated test solutions that ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of software applications. The role is responsible for developing automation frameworks, executing functional and regression testing, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modern automation tools, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD environments.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
• Build and enhance automation frameworks to improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual test cases and repetitive testing activities.
• Ensure automation scripts are maintainable, reusable, and aligned with development standards.

Test Planning & Execution

• Review business and functional requirements to develop comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate new features, enhancements, and bug fixes before production deployment.
• Perform cross-browser, cross-platform, and compatibility testing where applicable.

Defect Management

• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using defect management tools.
• Work closely with developers to reproduce issues and verify defect resolutions.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring defects and recommend preventive measures.
• Ensure defects are resolved within project timelines.

API & Database Testing

• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or similar platforms.
• Validate backend services, integrations, and data integrity.
• Execute SQL queries to verify database transactions and application data.
• Ensure accurate data validation across integrated systems.

CI/CD & Quality Assurance

• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Support continuous testing initiatives within Agile development environments.
• Monitor automation execution results and prepare detailed test reports.
• Recommend improvements to testing processes and quality standards.

Collaboration & Documentation

• Work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and project managers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.
• Maintain comprehensive test documentation, automation libraries, and execution reports.
• Share testing best practices and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3–6 years of experience in software testing with at least 2 years in automation testing.
• Strong experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar frameworks.

• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Rest Assured.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, or similar DevOps platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
