An international engineering firm is seeking a Public Health Engineer specializing in Mechanical Engineering to oversee various engineering tasks related to plumbing and fire protection. The ideal candidate must hold a recognized degree, possess 8-10 years of experience in an international design firm, and be proficient in tools like Revit and AutoCAD. Strong communication skills in English and Arabic are essential, along with logical thinking and team collaboration abilities.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Mechanical Engineer with a recognized degree.
  • 8-10 years of experience in an International Design Firm with Building Services Design focus.
  • Experience with HX2 IES or Hevacomp preferred.
  • MASHRAE or MCIBSE certification ideal.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD and draughting methods.
  • Strong written and verbal skills in English and Arabic.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Public Health, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Engineering tasks.
  • Coordinate engineering work with Building Services and Architectural teams.
  • Report to the Senior Engineer and handle assigned designer activities.

About the job Public Health Engineer - Mechanical

Responsibilities:

  • Do the various Public Health, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Engineering tasks through a combination of draughting and engineering (include sizing domestic water and drainage piping requirements, reviewing different plumbing design approaches, sizing equipment and tanks, and sizing water heating systems, fire protection systems).
  • Coordinating of the engineering work between other members of the Building Services and Architectural teams
  • Works under the direct supervision of the Senior Engineer and is accountable for specific discipline designer activities assigned to them.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Mechanical Engineer with a recognized degree from a nationally accredited engineering program
  • 8-10 Minimum years of experience working within an International Design Firm, with a focus on Building Services Design.
  • Ideally experienced with HX2 IES or Hevacomp
  • Ideally, MASHRAE or MCIBSE certified
  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD and proper draughting methods and techniques.
  • Understanding of standard industry software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills both in English and Arabic.
  • Working knowledge of computer programs and web-based applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • With healthcare/hospital experience is a plus.
