Job summary

Client of Tawzef in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to review plumbing and fire protection designs for UAE projects. You will verify compliance with codes, perform hydraulic calculations, and coordinate with architecture, structural, electrical and other MEP disciplines to ensure project success.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Building Services and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in plumbing and fire protection, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or Building Services.
• 10+ years' experience in plumbing and fire protection systems.
• Middle East experience required.
• In-depth knowledge of UAE regulations and Civil Defense requirements.
• Willingness to travel within UAE for short project assignments.

Responsibilities

• Review contractor design submissions for plumbing and fire protection systems
• Verify compliance with international codes, project specs and UAE authority requirements
• Review hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, pressure losses and system performance
• Review shop drawings, technical submittals and related documentation
• Issue technical responses and clarifications to contractor queries
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical and other MEP disciplines
• Support technical approvals and ensure designs meet Civil Defense standards
