Job summary

Allocation Assist is seeking an experienced Consultant Clinical Psychologist with oncology experience to provide specialized psychological assessment, diagnosis and evidence-based interventions for cancer patients.

The role requires a Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, a valid DHA license to practice in Dubai, and strong experience in multidisciplinary oncology teams.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or a relevant discipline.
• Valid DHA license/eligibility to practice in Dubai/UAE.
• Proven clinical experience as a Clinical Psychologist.
• Previous oncology/psycho-oncology experience required or highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based psychological assessment and therapeutic approaches.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and clinical evaluations.
• Provide individual and family psychological counselling and psychotherapy.
• Support oncology patients throughout diagnosis, treatment, recovery, and survivorship.
• Assess and manage anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, trauma, and treatment-related psychological distress.
• Provide psychological support for patients and families coping with chronic or life-threatening illness.
• Collaborate closely with oncologists, physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Develop individualized treatment and psychological care plans.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation.
• Provide crisis intervention and appropriate referrals when required.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and contribute to patient-centered care.
