Job summary

Kanad Hospital in Abu Dhabi invites a Female Arab Psychiatry Specialist Consultant to join our team. The physician will provide psychiatric care, diagnose and treat disorders, and coordinate inpatient transfers as workload allows, under credentialing and privileges.

Requirements include board certification or MD in Psychiatry, 3+ years post-board hospital experience, and license considerations (DOH/DHA). The role is based in Abu Dhabi with DOH/DHA licensing preferred.

Qualifications

• Board certified or MD in Psychiatry as minimum
• License - DOH/DHA licensed or DOH passer or DOH exam exempted preferred
• Experience of 3 years after Board with recent hospital setting experience

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric care within the scope of credentialing and privileges
• Examine, diagnose and treat psychiatric disorders
• Prepare and review case histories and clinical records
• Request and interpret psychiatric tests
• Prescribe and administer medications
• Address adverse effects of psychiatric medications
• Coordinate inpatient transfers or admit; manage low-acuity patients when staffing allows
• Provide liaison consultations for other departments
