Job summary

Vertiv seeks an experienced Protection Relay Programming & Testing Engineer for MV and LV protection systems. You will program, test, commission and validate protection schemes, ensuring correct coordination and communications across PLC/SCADA interfaces.

The role requires hands-on expertise with ABB, Siemens and Schneider protection relays, and strong knowledge of IEC 61850, Modbus, Profinet, and Profinet networks. On-site work across MV/LV protection projects is expected.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering required.
• 7–12 years of relevant experience in protection relay programming, testing, commissioning, and protection/control systems.
• Experience with MV switchgear, control and relay panels, and electrical protection systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead protection relay programming, configuration, testing and commissioning for MV/LV protection systems.
• Verify relay settings against protection coordination studies and prepare test reports.
• Perform FAT/SAT, site testing, commissioning and final validation of protection systems.
