Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Protection Relay Programming & Testing Engineer – MV & LV Protection Systems to lead hands-on programming, testing, and commissioning of protection schemes. The role requires deep knowledge of MV/LV protection, relay configuration, and system integration with PLC/SCADA/EPMS.

The ideal candidate has 7–12 years of experience in protection engineering, experience with ABB, Siemens, and Schneider protection relays, and strong diagnostic and testing skills for FAT/SAT and site

Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
7–12 years in protection relay programming, testing, commissioning, and protection/control systems.
Predominantly experienced in MV switchgear, control and relay panels, and electrical protection systems.
Hands-on experience in protection relay programming, configuration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting for MV and LV protection systems.
Strong experience with ABB, Siemens, Schneider Electric protection relays.
Experience with FAT/SAT, commissioning, site testing and final validation of MV/LV protection systems.

Responsibilities

Protect relay programming, testing, and commissioning for MV and LV protection systems.
Verify relay settings against approved protection coordination studies.
Prepare relay setting files, test procedures, test reports, and commissioning reports.
Integrate protection relays with PLC/RTU/SCADA/EPMS and other supervisory control systems.
Perform FAT/SAT and site testing, including end-to-end protection testing and interlocks.
