Job summary

Departer is supporting a Dubai-based client in seeking a Proposal Engineer (m/f/d) specialized in Flow Measurement to craft technically precise and commercially competitive proposals for instrumentation across multiple sectors. You will review RFQs, specifications, and project documentation, configure products using manufacturer tools, and prepare quotations and commercial documents within tight deadlines.

You will coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and the sales team to ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in instrumentation or related engineering discipline.
• 5-7 years of experience in Proposal Engineering or Application Engineering.
• Proven experience with gas and liquid flow measurement technologies.
• Strong exposure to Oil & Gas, Water & Wastewater, Power Generation, Chemical/Petrochemical industries.
• Solid understanding of industrial instrumentation principles and automation fundamentals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality technical and commercial proposals for instrumentation and flow measurement solutions.
• Review RFQs, technical specifications, datasheets, P&IDs to identify best technical solution.
• Configure products using manufacturer configuration software and product selection tools.
• Prepare quotations, cost calculations, and commercial documentation within agreed response times.
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, sales engineers, and customers to clarify requirements.
• Ensure all proposals comply with customer specifications, industry standards, and internal procedures.
• Maintain proposal documentation and CRM records throughout the bidding lifecycle.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance proposal quality and response times.
• Provide technical and commercial support to the sales team during bidding and proposal process.

Your duties and responsibilities will include

• Prepare high-quality technical and commercial proposals for instrumentation and flow measurement solutions
• Review customer RFQs technical specifications datasheets P amp IDs and project documentation to identify the most suitable technical solution
• Configure products using manufacturer configuration software and product selection tools
• Prepare quotations cost calculations technical deviations and commercial documentation within agreed response times
• Develop technical qualification documents compliance matrices deviation lists and supporting project documentation for bid submissions
• Coordinate with suppliers manufacturers sales engineers and customers to clarify technical and commercial requirements throughout the proposal process
• Ensure all proposals comply with customer specifications industry standards and internal quality procedures
• Maintain accurate proposal documentation and CRM records throughout the bidding lifecycle
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance proposal quality efficiency and response times
• Provide technical and commercial support to the sales team throughout the bidding and proposal process

To be successful in this role you should have the following skills and experiences

• Bachelor s degree in Instrumentation Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering Mechatronics Engineering Automation Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• 5 7 years of experience in Proposal Engineering or Application Engineering within the industrial instrumentation or automation industry
• Proven experience with gas and liquid flow measurement technologies
• Strong exposure to industries such as Oil amp Gas Water amp Wastewater Power Generation Chemical Petrochemical or other Process Industries
• Solid understanding of industrial instrumentation principles control systems and automation fundamentals
• Good knowledge of flow measurement technologies including electromagnetic Coriolis ultrasonic vortex turbine variable area thermal mass and positive displacement flow meters
• Experience using product configurators and engineering selection software
• Strong commercial awareness with a proactive customer-focused and solution-oriented approach
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to communicate effectively with customers suppliers and internal stakeholders
