Job summary

Brunel is seeking a Project Sourcing Specialist for an Oil & Gas project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves end-to-end sourcing, RFQ issuance, bid analysis, and PO management to maximize supplier performance during project execution.

The candidate should have 10+ years in procurement/sourcing, experience with Ariba, and strong negotiation skills to meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives. This is a contract position based in Abu Dhabi with close collaboration to the PMO and Contract teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in procurement/sourcing for large projects.
• Experience working in oil and gas or similar capital projects preferred.
• Ability to manage RFQ/RFI/P/Q and bid processes end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage sourcing activities for assigned project portfolios.
• Issue RFQs, analyze bids, and issue POs to maximize supplier performance.
• Negotiate prices and terms to meet quality, delivery and cost targets.
• Coordinate with Sourcing Manager and Contract Specialists on contracts.
• Maintain supplier communications and ensure on-time procurement to support project schedules.

Our client, a leading name in the Oil and Gas sector based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is seeking a dynamic and skilled individual to join their team as a Project Sourcing Specialist (PSS). This contract role offers you the chance to collaborate with a highly talented and dedicated team, contributing to the success of high-impact projects in a pivotal industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement plans and tactics to effectively manage the sourcing activities (issue RFQ, conduct bid analysis, issue PO) related to the assigned portfolio of projects to maximize supplier performance (cost, quality, lead time) during project execution.
• Activities mentioned will be applicable to tendering phase, project execution phase and general segment sourcing.
• Implement sourcing plans with the goal of assuring specified quality, required delivery times and minimizing the total cost of the products and services.
• Arrange and lead supplier communications by being single point of contact for the Company during sourcing activities of an assigned equipment/service.
• Conduct RFI/Q/P (Request for Information/Quotation/information/Proposal) and bidding processes, minimizing risk and maximizing value in terms of quality, delivery and cost.
• Select a high-performance supply base for assigned portfolio, in accordance with short-list of preferred suppliers defined by Category Managers and Product Line Sourcing Manager.
• Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers in order to meet specified quality, delivery and cost objectives.
• Execute contract negotiation and development in coordination with Sourcing Manager and Contract Specialists.
• Document performance to action plans and timelines for assigned sourcing events with the use of Ariba.
• Work closely with the Supply Manager/Leader to guarantee supply for all portfolios.
• Effectively communicates with and maintains the highest degree of relations between the Company and all levels of supplier personnel.
