Job summary

Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory (ASMEF) seeks an experienced Project Quality Manager to drive quality management across a prestigious Process Modules EPC project in the UAE. You will lead QA/QC activities, mentor the project team, and liaise with clients and regulators to ensure compliance with codes, standards and contract requirements.

Required are a Bachelor's in mechanical/metallurgical engineering, 20+ years QA/QC experience including 5+ years as Project QA/QC Manager, and ISO 9001

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or metallurgical engineering or related field.
• Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (mandatory).
• 20+ years QA/QC experience with 5+ years as Project QA/QC Manager on large Oil & Gas EPC projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Project Quality Plans, ITPs, and project-specific quality procedures.
• Lead and manage all QA/QC activities across the project lifecycle.
• Report quality performance, metrics, risks, and improvements to PMT/QA lead.
• Act as primary liaison with clients, inspectors, auditors, and regulators.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the project QA/QC team to meet KPIs.
• Ensure quality surveillance, inspections, audits, and verification across construction and fabrication.
• Provide guidance on quality requirements to Construction Management Teams.
• Close NCRs, observations, client comments, and audit findings timely.
• Coordinate client and third-party inspections, audits, and surveillance.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Quality Manager to join our prestigious Process Modules Project, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of world-class EPC projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain Project Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and project-specific quality procedures in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and manage all project quality assurance and quality control activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Report project quality performance, quality metrics, risks, and improvement opportunities to the QA/QC Manager and Project Management Team (PMT).
• Serve as the primary focal point with clients, third-party inspectors, auditors, and regulatory authorities on all project quality matters.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the project QA/QC team to achieve project quality objectives and KPIs.
• Ensure proactive quality surveillance, inspections, audits, and verification activities across all construction and fabrication disciplines.
• Provide technical guidance to Construction Management Teams (CMT) on quality requirements, inspection activities, and quality best practices.
• Monitor project quality performance through Quality Objectives, KPIs, audits, and management reviews.
• Investigate non-conformities and ensure effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions to eliminate root causes.
• Ensure timely closure of NCRs, observations, client comments, and audit findings.
• Coordinate client inspections, third-party inspections, audits, and surveillance activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, client specifications, contractual requirements, and company Quality Management Systems.
• Maintain complete project quality records, inspection documentation, traceability, and turnover dossiers.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness throughout the project organization.
• Ensure effective communication with all project stakeholders on quality performance and compliance requirements.
• Support internal, external, certification, and client audits while ensuring timely closure of audit findings.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.

Experience: Minimum 20 years of comprehensive QA/QC experience, including at least 5 years as a Project QA/QC Manager on major Oil & Gas EPC projects.

Certifications/Training: Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (Mandatory).

Industry Experience: Demonstrated experience in Process Modules, modular fabrication, and associated Oil & Gas EPC projects.
