The MENA firm currently offers a broad rangeof consulting and transactional services to a broad range of B2B, B2C and B2Gclients. We are now seeking to provide an additional value proposition via Projectand Development Services. This will be a dynamic role, working acrossgeographies, collaborating with existing service lines to build a new vertical. You will be expected to develop business,ensure the very best client outputs and the recruitment of a market leadingteam.
Responsibilities
- Building the P&DS Business in UAE:
- Co-ordinate pitches and to ensure a compellingand impactful proposition.
- Assist in Developing research / marketingmaterial to define your region’s market position.
- Promote P&DS business region on socialmedia in coordination with the Knight Frank Marketing Team.
- Support in UAE Business Development strategyin collaboration with the Head of P&DS MENA.
- Takes active role in the growth of UAE P&DSBusiness, in line with the growth targets agreed with Head of P&DS.
- Supportin Identification in potential business leads and opportunities in line withthe UAE P&DS business plan and objectives and actively manages pipeline.
- In collaboration with Head of P&DS andMarketing Team prepares appropriate marketing collateral for UAE P&DS region.
- Contributes to strategic direction ofP&DS UAE.
- Supports staff in timely issue of PerformanceManagement processes and collaborates with Head of P&DS UAE to carry outmoderation of results and compilation of overall performance summaries and dataanalysis.
- Promotes a client-centric culture monitorsservice delivery standards and client feedback with a view to identifying anyreal or perceived shortfalls in service delivery. Engages with Head of P&DSUAE to assist in determining any corrective measures required to ensure thatthese are implemented.
- Work with the Head of P&DS UAE and theMarketing Team to continuously improve the pitching documents andpresentations, marketing material and product marketing strategies to providethe best product in the region for both domestic and international sales.
- Embed the Knight Frank brand and its valuesthat make the business a success leading to high scores in the Your View surveyaround Brand Pride and Credibility – 60%+.
- Be a leading voice in the industry as a partof your Industry Group and positioning Knight Frank in an award-winninghigh-profile position.
- Manage the day-to-day operational aspects ofthe project(s) “end to end” and overview your team’s projects and ensure clientsatisfaction on all projects.
- Lead the team to deliver accurate, timely,and compliant project deliverables.
- Deliver to the scope of services ascontracted with Client’s whilst managing the firm’s exposure.
- Keep abreast of regulatory changes affectingdevelopment requirements to take advantage of or compensate for the changeswhich may impact projects.
- Manage all Design, construction, scheduling,commercial, procurement, risk, Health and safety management activitiesconducted by the team.
- Manage on all Procurement Activitiesincluding pre-qualification, tendering and evaluation.
- Actively lead/ Participate in Contractsmanagement and Scope management
- Handle tracking of Material and Equipmentordering & delivery status
- Review Progress Billings and reports by allproject stakeholders.
- Review Change Orders in parallel with theProject commercial management.
- Prepare documents for uploading in projectdocument controlling platforms and Manage all DC systems in association withTeam assigned DC.
- Manage Close Out Documentation & O&MManuals
- Manage/ participate in all QA/QC proceduresset forward by project lead.
- Manage and update project logs, issue clientreports
- Make sure all suitable meeting minutes arecaptured.
- Manage/Work closely with clients, designteams and contractors to optimize solutions,
- Demonstrate excellent verbal, numerical andreport writing skills,
- Demonstrate flexibility and canwork to deadlines,
- Demonstrate expert use with word, Excel,power point and other Microsoft Office programs to an advanced level,
- Demonstrate experience of project procurementand differing routes available,
- Demonstrate a track record in delivering highquality services from inception to completion,
- Manage pre contract Scope including;reviewing Design drawings, technical specification, sections of BOQs, handletender query responses, manage the PQQ process with support and input intovalue engineering at each design stage,
- Manage post contract including being strongin construction management and progress tracking, contract administration,comfortable on site walks with project teams, prepare weekly reports, draftmonthly reports and weekly dashboards.
Skillsand Qualifications
- Minimum of a Degree Qualification inConstruction Management, Engineering, Planning, Architecture, Projectmanagement or equivalent. Preference to hold a Master’s degree in similarfields.
- Professional memberships are an advantage butnot essential (PMP, CIOB, C.Eng).
- 8 to 10 years’ experience in similarindustry, at least 5 years in the Middle East.
- Major international project experience isessential.
- Must have PMC/PMO experience within areputable PMC International firm.
- Excellent written and verbal skills with afluent proficiency in English. Arabic proficiency would be a plus.
- Ability to understand all aspects of Construction,Project management, Cost Management, Design and Engineering effectively andefficiently from initiation to completion.
- Broad background of project management.
- Extensive experience to manage complex andmixed use projects on a global level.
- Great people management skills with anability to interact with executive level external and internal clients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentwith different international cultures.
- Ability to travel, domestic or international,as required.
- Strong leadership and employee managementskills.
- Knows how to effectively structure, staff andmanage projects and teams to insure there is clarity of expectation, timelyexecution, corrective action when needed and successful outcomes.
- Has a structured approach to problem solvingwith a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics. Drives to fix theultimate root causes to drive sustainable change.
- Fluent English speaker and Arabic would be aplus.
