Job summary

About the role

• Manage and monitor design activities across multiple projects from concept design through detailed design and construction documentation stages.
• Track design deliverables, milestones and approvals to ensure adherence to project programmes and development objectives.
• Maintain regular follow-up with consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of design tasks.
• Support the Senior Director - Design in driving project progress and resolving issues that may impact programme or quality.
• Act as the primary point of coordination between architects, interior designers, landscape consultants, engineers and specialist consultants.
• Facilitate communication and information flow between all parties involved in the design process.
• Ensure consultant deliverables are submitted on time, reviewed appropriately and aligned with project requirements.
• Coordinate design workshops, progress meetings and technical review sessions.
• Build effective working relationships with internal departments including Development, Projects, Commercial, Procurement, Sales and Marketing.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, suppliers and relevant external stakeholders as required.
• Review design submissions and drawings for completeness, consistency and coordination before formal approvals.
• Assist in identifying design clashes, technical issues and project risks, ensuring timely resolution.
• Monitor project progress against agreed timelines and highlight potential delays or bottlenecks.
• Drive accountability among consultants and stakeholders to ensure commitments are achieved.
• Support the preparation of project status reports and management presentations.
• Ensure design deliverables comply with project briefs, design standards and quality expectations.
• Support design reviews and coordination meetings to maintain design integrity throughout project stages.
• Coordinate consultant responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), material submissions, shop drawings and technical clarifications.
• Support site teams in resolving design issues while protecting approved design intent.
• Participate in design-related site inspections and project coordination meetings when required.
• Coordinate submissions and approvals with relevant authorities and regulatory bodies as required.
• Ensure consultant teams incorporate applicable authority requirements, codes and regulations within design deliverables.
• Monitor approval processes and follow up on outstanding authority comments.

Experience & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Design Management.
• 8-10 years of experience in design management preferably with real estate luxury developments, in the UAE.
• Proven track record in managing design for high-rise, residential or mixed-use projects.
• Strong understanding of local authority processes and permitting requirements.
• PMP certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and coordination skills.
