Job summary

PMKConsult is a leading design management consultancy with UAE, KSA and UK presence. We seek a Design Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team, manage design programmes, and coordinate with clients and wider project teams across the Emirates.

You will oversee design meetings, documentation, risks, change control, and deliverables while ensuring compliance with BIM, HSE and standards. A senior professional with strong planning and commercial acumen is desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Design, Project Management, or a related field.
• Extensive design management experience, with at least 10 years’ experience in a Design Manager role.
• Consultant- or client-side experience.
• Strong project planning, project controls, and commercial acumen.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design management tools and software.
• Strong organisational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel across the Emirates, as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary design consultancy team, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and alignment with project objectives and budget.
• Develop and monitor design programmes, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and wider project teams to ensure effective collaboration.
• Lead design meetings and maintain key design management documentation, reports, and trackers.
• Manage design issues, risks, scope, change control, and design approvals.
• Review multidisciplinary design deliverables to ensure coordination, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
• Ensure effective document control and compliance with established design management processes, BIM, HSE, and relevant technical standards.
• Maintain a strong knowledge of architecture, construction, design standards, materials, and building technologies.
