Job summary

Ardent Partners in Dubai seeks an experienced Design Manager to lead the design development from concept to construction, coordinating architects, engineers, and consultants to meet project briefs and development objectives.

You will review submissions, ensure regulatory compliance with Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence, RERA and building codes, and drive value engineering while preserving design intent. The role covers tendering, procurement, and construction support.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design development process from concept through detailed design and construction documentation.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design consultants including architects, interior designers, landscape architects, structural engineers, and MEP professionals.
• Ensure design solutions align with project briefs, business plans, market positioning, and development objectives.
• Review and challenge design proposals to optimize functionality, aesthetics, operational efficiency, and value.
• Drive innovation and design excellence across all projects.
• Monitor consultant performance, deliverables, and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations, Civil Defence requirements, RERA regulations, building codes, and other authority requirements.
• Review technical submissions, design reports, drawings, specifications, and BIM models.
• Conduct value engineering exercises while maintaining project quality and design intent.
• Review design changes and assess their impact on cost, schedule, and project objectives.
• Provide design management support during tendering, procurement, and construction phases.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, material samples, and mock-ups.
• Resolve design-related issues arising during construction.
