Job summary

NCO in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead engineering design projects from inception through IFC. You will oversee multidisciplinary teams (Civil, Structural, MEP, Architecture), ensure technical quality, and manage client relationships, schedules, quality, and budgets.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• 10+ years of project management experience in design/consulting.
• PMP/PRINCE2/ PMI-ACP certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of Abu Dhabi local authority requirements and international design codes.
• Strong leadership and client-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead scope definitions and KPI evaluations; manage change protocols.
• Develop CPM-based schedules and monitor cost forecasts.
• Use EVM metrics (SV, CV, SPI, CPI) to assess lifecycle performance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design from conceptual through IFC drawings.
• Manage client relations, contracts, change orders, and sub-consultants.

Job description

Responsible for the full delivery of engineering design projects, from inception to completion, oversees multidisciplinary design teams (Structural, MEP, Architecture, etc.), ensures technical quality and compliance, manages client relationships, and maintains project schedules, quality, and budgets.The Position sits within the Project Management Department and reports directly to the Projects Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Scope & Design Management: Lead scope definitions and technical KPIs. Own the Design Change Management protocol to evaluate modifications for cost, schedule, and quality impacts before execution.
• Schedule & Cost Control: Develop baseline schedules using Critical Path Method (CPM). Monitor project accounts and deploy predictive forecasting to proactively prevent cost overruns.
• Earned Value Management (EVM): Utilize EVM metrics (SV, CV, SPI, CPI) to objectively measure lifecycle performance and deliver data-backed project health assessments to leadership.
• Workflow Integration: Streamline the multi-disciplinary pipeline to ensure seamless, clash-free handoffs from conceptual design and FEED through to final Issued-for-Construction (IFC) drawings.
• Stakeholder & Contract Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, cross-functional leads, and vendors. Administer contracts, change orders, and sub-consultant agreements.
• Risk Mitigation: Maintain dynamic risk registers to identify technical, financial, and schedule threats, executing quantitative mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
• PMP Certificate (Preferred); PRINCE2 or PMI-ACP is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of multidisciplinary design management (Civil, Structural, MEP, Architecture) and project delivery in a consulting environment.
• Thorough understanding of Abu Dhabi local authority requirements and applicable international design codes and standards
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and client-facing communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver under pressure within defined timelines and budget.
• Proficiency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
• Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in project management role within a design or consulting environment.
