Job summary

Hantec Markets is seeking an experienced Project Manager in Dubai, UAE to lead cross-functional projects from planning through delivery. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders and teams across regions, ensuring clear ownership and timely issue resolution.

Responsibilities include developing project plans, managing risks, and delivering regular status updates while promoting consistent governance and documentation across the business.

Project Manager

Location: Dubai, UAE

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our newly established Project Management function. This is an opportunity to play an important role in how we deliver projects across the business, working closely with senior stakeholders and teams across different functions and regions. You will be responsible for managing projects from planning through to delivery, ensuring clear ownership, realistic timelines, effective communication and timely resolution of issues.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple cross-functional projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring delivery against agreed objectives, scope and timelines.
• Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, dependencies, resource requirements and progress reports.
• Work closely with project sponsors, department heads and delivery teams to establish clear responsibilities and expectations.
• Coordinate project activities across departments, ensuring stakeholders remain aligned.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies and changes, escalating where necessary.
• Monitor project progress, challenge delays and follow up on outstanding actions to keep delivery moving.
• Assess resource requirements and potential capacity constraints with relevant department heads before delivery commitments are finalised.
• Provide clear, concise project updates to stakeholders and senior management.
• Support the development of consistent project management processes, reporting and governance across the business.
• Ensure appropriate project documentation is maintained and lessons learned are captured.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience managing cross-functional business or technology projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong project planning, coordination and delivery skills, with the ability to manage several priorities simultaneously.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and influencing teams without direct reporting authority.
• Good understanding of project governance, risk management, dependencies and resource planning.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Confidence in challenging assumptions, identifying delivery risks and escalating issues constructively.
• Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Asana, Monday.com or MS Project.
• A practical, hands‑on approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, fintech, trading or another regulated industry.
• Experience delivering projects across multiple countries or international teams.
• Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall or hybrid project management methodologies.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or similar project management certification.
