Job summary

Wasael Property Management in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead planning, design, construction, and handover of major real estate projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, schedule and quality standards across multiple stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, PMP/PRINCE2 certification, and 8–10 years of project management experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contracts, risk, and cost control with a strong HSE

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, PM, architecture, or related field.
• PM certification (PMP/PRINCE2) a plus.
• 8–10 years of relevant PM experience, preferably in real estate or major projects.
• Proven track record managing projects through multiple lifecycle stages.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from planning through handover and execution.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones.
• Coordinate across Design, Technical, Commercial, Procurement, Construction, HSE.
• Manage consultants, contractors, and service providers.
• Monitor progress against schedules, budgets, and KPIs.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation actions.
• Prepare project status reports and escalate issues to management.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, and close-out.
• Support continuous improvement and lessons learned.

Job Purpose

To manage the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of assigned projects, ensuring completion in accordance with approved scope, budget, programme, quality standards, and organizational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage assigned projects from planning and design through construction, completion, and handover.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, and delivery requirements.
• Coordinate activities across Design, Technical, Commercial, Procurement, Construction, HSE, and other project functions.
• Manage consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and other project service providers to ensure timely and effective delivery.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules, budgets, and key performance indicators.
• Identify project risks, issues, delays, and dependencies and implement appropriate mitigation and recovery actions.
• Monitor project costs, commitments, forecasts, variations, and expenditure in coordination with the Commercial team.
• Manage project scope and change control processes and assess potential impacts on cost, programme, and delivery.
• Conduct regular project progress and coordination meetings and ensure agreed actions are followed through.
• Review project documentation, schedules, reports, technical submissions, and contractor deliverables.
• Coordinate with relevant authorities and stakeholders to support required approvals, permits, and project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, HSE standards, quality requirements, and organizational policies.
• Maintain effective communication with internal teams, consultants, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare regular project status reports covering progress, programme, budget, risks, issues, and key actions.
• Escalate significant project risks, delays, commercial matters, and other issues to senior management where required.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, handover, and project close-out activities.
• Support continuous improvement and lessons learned across project delivery activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Professional project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent would be an advantage.
• Minimum 8-10 years of relevant project management experience, preferably within real estate development, construction, infrastructure, or major project environments.
• Proven experience managing projects through multiple stages of the project lifecycle.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of project planning, cost control, contracts, risk management, HSE, and quality requirements.
• Good knowledge of project management systems, reporting processes, and project controls.
