Job summary

Dutco Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking a site-based Project Logistics Construction Manager to lead logistics planning and operations for a major construction project. You will coordinate movement, storage, and distribution of materials, equipment, and resources to support construction progress.

The role requires planning site access, traffic management, deliveries, inventory tracking, and compliance with HSE and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or project logistics management within the construction industry.
• Experience supporting large or complex construction projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction-site logistics, material handling, transportation planning, storage, and inventory control.
• Familiarity with UAE logistics requirements, permits, and customs processes.
• Strong leadership, planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the project logistics plan in coordination with the construction schedule and site requirements.
• Manage deliveries, transportation, unloading, storage, and distribution of construction materials and equipment.
• Coordinate with project management, construction, procurement, suppliers, subcontractors, transport providers, and relevant authorities.
• Plan site access, traffic management, delivery schedules, laydown areas, warehouses, and material-handling arrangements.
• Monitor logistics activities against project milestones and resolve delays or bottlenecks that could affect site progress.
• Oversee inventory tracking, logistics documentation, shipment records, permits, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate local and international shipments and customs clearance, where required.
• Monitor logistics costs, prepare forecasts, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Ensure logistics operations comply with project procedures and applicable health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and report on logistics performance, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Lead and coordinate site logistics personnel and service providers.
