Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation in Ras al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, seeks a Project Engineer for Busbar LOB to lead cross‑functional new product development and sustaining projects. You will coordinate engineering, offering management, manufacturing, procurement, quality, and logistics to optimize time to market while controlling cost, schedule, and resources.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in project management, NPDI experience in manufacturing, strong English, risk management, and proficiency

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in project management.
• Experience in New Product Development project management in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with water-fall (stage-gate) PM methods.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Knowledge of risk management and risk response strategies.
• Familiarity with Gantt chart schedule management.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholder communications.
• Experience with project KPI reporting and planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional planning and execution to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Monitor schedules and coordinate activities on the critical path.
• Provide executive updates to senior management and sponsors.
• Track progress against schedule and cost targets.
• Identify issues and drive decisions to prevent slippage.
• Develop contingency plans for key risks.
• Ensure NPDI processes are followed and drive continuous improvement.

Job Title: Project Engineer Busbar LOB

Function/Department: Busbar Line of Business (LOB)

Reports to: Sr. Manager, Global Programme Management- NPDI (Busbar)

Location: Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates

JOB SUMMARY

The Project Engineer is responsible and accountable for the cross-functional management of new product development and sustaining projects. These projects range in complexity that span functions, organizations, geographic regions, and cultures. The Project Engineer coordinates the efforts of engineering, offering management, manufacturing, procurement, quality, order fulfillment, logistics, service, marketing, sales and other cross functional groups to optimize time to market while monitoring project and product cost, schedule and resources. The Project Engineer must build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain communication with project stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organization, to ensure success of the projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Facilitate cross-functional planning and project execution, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and meets the agreed upon scope
• Monitor team schedules and ensure coordination of activities on the critical path
• Provide executive-level program updates to senior management and executive sponsors
• Follow reporting and tracking programs to assure the project is on target for schedule and cost
• Identify key issues and drive decisions to ensure that the project does not slip
• Identify key risks and prepare contingency plans
• Ensure the projects are following the NPDI, New Product Develop & Introduction process
• Identify and lead continuous improvement projects

REQUIREMENTS

• 3~5 Years of experience in project management

• Must have experience in New product development project management in a manufacturing industry

  (Experience in IT is not considered)

• Must have experience in water fall ( stage gate) project management method
• Must have good communication skill in English
• Should have knowledge in risk management and risk response methods.
• Should have idea about Gantt Chart schedule management
• Experience in communication management among stake holders
• Experince in project KPI reporting
• Must have experience in project planning
• Demonstrated competence in problem-solving, data analysis, project planning
• Experience leading cross functional meetings and presenting to small groups, both in person and via conference call
• Ability to quickly develop cross functional relationships to achieve business objectives
• Process and results-oriented with proven ability to accomplish goals
• Experience with 3-phase power distribution or Busbar products is preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications,
• Microsoft Project or smartsheet experience preferred

• Strong communication skills to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical engineering preferred.

PMP or any other project management training preferred ( not compulsory)
