Project Engineer-Fire Alarm

Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an experienced Project Engineer/Coordinator in Dubai to implement and monitor established project plans for mechanical, electrical, or automation projects. You will coordinate with drafting and procurement teams to ensure timely submissions and deliveries, while tracking progress against milestones.

You will ensure compliance with codes, QA/QC policies, and client specifications, and oversee external contractors to maintain service standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s / Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field
• 6-10 years of experience in the relevant field

Responsibilities

• Implement an established project plan; monitor progress and performance against the project plan.
• Identify, resolve, or escalation operational problems and minimize delays.
• Analyze project requirements and perform standard technical calculations.
• Coordinates with the drafting team for the timely submission of engineering/workshop drawings and with the Procurement team for the timely delivery of materials.
• Monitoring compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
• Coordinate the activities of outside contractors to ensure they are integrated into the project and that the organization receives satisfactory service standards.
• Estimate the costs, resources, and time required to complete the assigned phase of an engineering project and monitor activities, allocate resources, and assign tasks to ensure these targets are met.
• Conduct project meetings and prepare regular reports to communicate the project's status to both the project team and external stakeholders.
• Set priorities, allocate tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet project targets and milestones.
• Coordinates resource allocation, material delivery, and invoicing.
• System Expertise: Fire Alarm System (FAS), VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus), PAVA(Public Address and Voice Alarm), CBS (Central Battery System), CMS(Central Monitoring System).
