Al Naboodah Commercial Group is seeking a Project Engineer EV Charging Services to lead technical execution, installation, commissioning and maintenance of EV charging infrastructure across customer sites in the UAE.
The role requires hands-on knowledge of EV chargers, electrical systems, CPMS integration, and strong site coordination with customers, OEMs, and subcontractors. UAE project experience and a valid UAE driving licence are mandatory.
To manage and reconcile intercompany transactions across group entities ensuring timely accounting accurate balances compliance with accounting standards and smooth month-end and year-end closing processes
The Project Engineer EV Charging Services will be responsible for the technical execution installation commissioning maintenance and operational support of EV charging infrastructure across customer sites The role requires strong hands-on knowledge of EV chargers electrical systems networking charger management systems CPMS troubleshooting and site coordination The engineer will work closely with customers charger OEMs subcontractors utilities consultants and internal project and service teams to ensure EV charging projects are delivered safely on time and in accordance with technical and commercial requirements
Plan and coordinate the execution of EV charging installation projects from mobilization through commissioning and handover. Review project scope drawings BOQs specifications and technical requirements. Coordinate with civil electrical MEP IT networking and other subcontractors involved in charger installations. Conduct site surveys and identify technical electrical civil communication and access requirements. Prepare and maintain project execution plans method statements ITPs checklists and commissioning documentation. Monitor project progress against approved schedules and milestones. Ensure materials tools equipment and manpower are available as required. Identify project risks technical issues and potential delays and elevate them appropriately.
Supervise installation of AC and DC EV chargers including high-power DC charging systems. Verify electrical connections protection systems earthing cable sizing isolators distribution boards and associated infrastructure. Coordinate charger energization and commissioning activities. Configure chargers and establish communication with the CPMS backend platform. Conduct functional testing load testing communication testing and payment authentication testing where applicable. Troubleshoot charger faults during installation and commissioning. Ensure chargers are successfully integrated into the operating network before handover. Prepare commissioning reports and site acceptance documentation.
Provide technical support for operational EV charging stations. Attend breakdowns and service requests within agreed SLA timelines. Diagnose electrical electronic communication software and charger-related faults. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of EV chargers and associated electrical infrastructure. Maintain service records maintenance reports photographs test results and parts replaced. Coordinate with OEM technical support for complex or recurring failures. Monitor charger performance and identify recurring faults or reliability issues. Support achievement of charger uptime and availability targets.
Monitor charger status and alarms through the CPMS control centre. Analyse charger error codes communication failures transaction issues and offline events. Support remote troubleshooting and restoration of chargers wherever possible. Coordinate with respective clients on OCPP and other communication issues. Verify OCPP connectivity and charger-to-backend communication. Support configuration of charger parameters tariffs users connectors and other operational settings as required. Maintain accurate charger asset and configuration records.
Act as the technical point of contact for assigned customers and sites. Attend site meetings technical discussions inspections and progress meetings. Understand customer requirements and translate them into practical engineering solutions. Coordinate with DEWA other utilities consultants authorities landlords and site representatives where required. Prepare technical responses to customer queries and support resolution of site issues. Ensure professional communication and timely closure of customer complaints and service requests.
Maintain complete project and service documentation. Prepare daily weekly project progress reports. Prepare installation testing commissioning preventive maintenance and breakdown reports. Maintain charger asset registers and service history. Record spare parts consumption and recommend critical spare parts. Maintain punch lists and ensure timely closure. Support preparation of as-built drawings and handover documentation. Ensure all project documentation is properly archived and accessible.
Ensure all works comply with company HSE requirements and applicable UAE regulations. Conduct and participate in toolbox talks risk assessments and site inspections. Ensure electrical isolation and LOTO procedures are followed. Verify that installations comply with approved drawings specifications and applicable standards. Report unsafe conditions incidents defects and non-conformities. Ensure subcontractors follow required safety and quality standards.
Coordinate with EV charger manufacturers and technical support teams. Manage technical escalations with OEMs and track resolution. Review OEM manuals firmware releases technical bulletins and troubleshooting procedures. Support evaluation of new charger models and technologies. Provide technical feedback to procurement and management regarding charger performance and reliability. Maintain technical knowledge of major EV charging technologies and standards.
