Job summary

MEMCO Steel & Pole Manufacturing LLC in Dubai seeks an Engineer – Project Coordinator to manage projects from order confirmation through production, inspection and delivery. The role requires an engineering degree and experience in steel fabrication or related manufacturing projects.

You will coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Production, Procurement, QC, and Logistics to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with specs.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required.
• Experience in steel fabrication or pole/manufacturing projects preferred.
• Proficient in reading engineering drawings, specs, and BOQs.
• Experience coordinating with Production, Procurement, QC and Logistics teams.
• Strong planning, follow-up and organizational skills.
• MS Office proficiency (Excel and Word).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects from order confirmation through production and final delivery.
• Review project requirements, drawings, BOQs and approved documents.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Production, Procurement, QC, Warehouse and Logistics teams.
• Prepare and maintain project schedules and follow up on milestones.
• Monitor production progress and ensure timely project completion.
• Coordinate material requirements with Procurement and Production teams.
• Follow up on drawings, material approvals, technical documents and inspection requirements.
• Coordinate with QC on inspections, testing, NCRs and final approvals.
• Prepare project status reports and update management.

MEMCO Steel & Pole Manufacturing LLC is looking for an Engineer – Project Coordinator to coordinate and monitor projects from order confirmation through production, inspection, and delivery.

The ideal candidate must have an Engineering degree and experience in steel fabrication, steel poles, lighting poles, structural steel, or manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects from order confirmation through production and final delivery.

• Review project requirements, technical specifications, drawings, BOQs, and approved documents.

• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Production, Procurement, QC, Warehouse, and Logistics teams.

• Prepare and maintain project schedules and follow up on project milestones.

• Monitor production progress and ensure projects are completed according to agreed timelines.

• Coordinate material requirements with Procurement and Production teams.

• Follow up on drawings, material approvals, technical documents, and inspection requirements.

• Coordinate with QC regarding inspections, testing, NCRs, and final product approvals.

• Prepare project status reports and provide regular updates to management.

• Identify delays, material shortages, technical issues, and other project risks and elevate them promptly.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors when required.

• Ensure project documentation is properly maintained and updated.

• Assist in preparing delivery schedules and coordinating with Logistics for timely dispatch.

• Ensure project requirements and customer specifications are communicated clearly to the factory.

• Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes when required.

• Support management in resolving project-related issues and ensuring smooth project execution.

• Ensure all project activities comply with company procedures, quality requirements, and safety standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in project coordination, project engineering, or project management.

• Engineering experience in steel fabrication, steel structures, lighting poles, street lighting poles, or manufacturing is highly preferred.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes.

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documents.

• Experience coordinating with Production, Procurement, QC, and Logistics teams.

• Strong planning, follow-up, and organizational skills.

• Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.

• Experience with ERP/project management systems is an advantage.

• UAE experience is preferred.
