Job summary

Confidential Careers is seeking a Project Planner to support schedule and cost management for multiple projects in the UAE. The role emphasizes establishing baselines, tracking milestones, and ensuring projects complete within approved budgets.

You will coordinate with vendors, prepare reports, and assist in tender processes while leveraging Primavera P6 and SAP ERP. Strong Excel skills and multi-project handling are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5 years of relevant experience in Planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling.
• Proficient in use of Primavera P6.
• Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing Extension of time claims.
• Experience in precontract activities such as tender process.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Working experience on ERP applications like SAP.

Responsibilities

• Establish project baselines (schedule, cost) with Project Managers.
• Create baselines in Primavera P6.
• Track schedule milestones and escalate delays.
• Recommend preventive or corrective actions for timely completion.
• Track project costs against budgets and update cashflow.
• Prepare management reports and project closeout documents.
• Attend progress meetings and assist with contractual communications.
• Monitor tender timelines and report progress; support SAP project system module.

To provide support in schedule/cost management of projects enabling completion of project within approved baseline

Description

Project Initiation & Planning

• Establish project baselines (schedule, cost) together with respective Project Managers
• Create agreed baselines in applicable software Primavera P6

Project Schedule Monitoring & Control

• Track schedule & milestones & proactively identify/escalate delays in completion of projects
• Recommend preventive/corrective actions enabling timely completion of projects

Project Cost Control

• Track project cost against approved budgets
• Prepare and update project cashflow
• Proactively identify & escalate matters affecting project cost
• Recommend preventive/corrective actions enabling completion of project within budget
• Provide support for contract administration such as review of Progress payment Applications, compliance of basic commercial terms of contracts etc

Reporting

• Prepare management reports on regular basis
• Assist in preparation of project management plan
• Assist in preparation of project closeout reports
• Project update reports
• Project Update presentations

Coordination with Contractors and suppliers

• Attend Project Kick-off meeting

Tender Process Management:

• Monitor tender timelines based on the project baseline programme.
• Monitoring and reporting of Tender process

• Create Service entry sheets
