Job summary

CG Resourcing Ltd’s client, a leading EPC contractor in the oil and gas sector, seeks an experienced Project Controls Engineer to be based in Jebel Dhana, Abu Dhabi. The role covers drafting controls procedures, preparing reports, maintaining registers, and coordinating procurement and subcontract activities on major projects in the Middle East.

Candidates must hold an engineering degree and have recent experience as a project controls engineer on large EPC oil and gas projects in the region.

Responsibilities

• Drafts project controls procedures in line with contract requirements.
• Prepares internal and external project reports in the required format.
• Maintains project Deliverables lists and registers including engineering, procurement, plans and methods.
• Assembles procurement packages with quantities take-off, specifications and schedule.
• Maintains Procurement Status Register and Subcontractors Register.
• Assists in drafting subcontract agreements and negotiating prices.
• Supports subcontract administration, payments, and final account processes.
• Coordinates and maintains Engineering Deliverables Status Register.
• Prepares a materials list with quantities and executes materials reconciliation.

My client is a leading EPC contractor with an excellent reputation a track record of working on major oil and gas projects in the middle east region. They are currently working on a major pipeline construction project and are looking to recruit an experienced project controls engineer to be based a Jebel Dhana, Abu Dhabi. The role will involve the following;

• Drafts project-specific Project Controls Procedures as per contract requirements.
• Participates in preparing Project internal and external reports in the required format.
• Initiates, coordinates and maintains Project List(s) of Deliverables including those for project procedures and plans, engineering, procurement, material submittals, method statements etc.
• Puts together procurement packages including quantities take-off, contract specifications and technical requirements, delivery schedule etc.
• Initiates and maintains Procurement Status Register.
• Prepares and maintains Subcontractors Register.
• Assists in drafting subcontract agreements and negotiating subcontract prices.
• Assists in subcontracts administration and related correspondences, measurements, payment certification, closing final account etc.
• Coordinates and maintains Engineering Deliverables Status Register.
• Prepares a List of Project Materials along with the required quantities and maintains a continuous project materials reconciliation.

Candidates should have engineering degree and should have experience of working as a project controls engineer on major EPC oil and gas construction projects in the middle east.
