Job summary

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank is seeking an experienced network specialist to design, implement and operate an enterprise-grade network within the UAE-based banking environment.

You will review and maintain documentation, support workshops, conduct QA, and produce management reporting while collaborating with squads to deliver secure, reliable connectivity and IT services across the bank's digital platforms.

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing, implementing, and operating enterprise networks.
• 3+ years in network architectures, security and best practices.
• 1+ year in incident management and release/configuration management.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• CCNA certification in Data Centre, Security and Route/Switch.
• ITIL Foundation for IT Service Management.
• Knowledge of data network technologies (routers, switches, NFV, BGP, MPLS, QoS, DNS/DHCP).
• Knowledge of network security technologies (Firewall, IPS, VPN, TLS, DDoS, NAT).
• Knowledge of IPT and Unified Communications Technologies.

Responsibilities

• Review, iterate, build and maintain simple and easy to understand documents to ensure policy compliance.
• Support and coordinate team workshops, critical meetings, testing and issue resolution.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on data, inputs and outputs to ensure accuracy and validity.
• Prepare reporting to support management requirements.
• Assists with mini projects and initiatives as agreed with squad/team lead to ensure successful implementation.
• Maintain, produce and improve key reporting artefacts across Jira, Excel, Planview and ADCB systems.
• Implement new processes and improvements to keep department compliant with changing policies.

In this role, your key responsibilities include

• Review, iterate, build and maintain simple and easy to understand functional and technical documents, communications or policies to ensure compliance to department policies and procedures.
• Support and coordinate team workshops, critical meetings, testing and issue resolution to aid their learning and development.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on data, inputs and outputs to ensure accuracy and validity.
• Prepare reporting in order to support management requirements.
• Assists with mini projects and initiatives as agreed with squad/team lead to ensure their successful implementation against the action plan and agreed turnaround times (TATs)
• Maintain, produce and improve key reporting artefacts across Jira, Excel, Planview and customer ADCB systems as required to ensure accuracy of data capture.
• Implement new processes and improvements, whilst contributing to feedback loops in order to keep the department compliant to changing policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate should have the following experience

• At least 4 years of experience in designing, implementing and operating an enterprise class network in a medium/large organisation or at least 3 years of experience in network architectures, security and best practices for an enterprise network, and at least 1 year of experience in incident management and resolution, managing software releases and configuration management, Banking operations and related problems.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (Data Centre, Security, Route/Switch) or equivalent
• Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) – Foundation Course for IT Service Management.
• Knowledge of Data Network technologies and protocols (i.e. routers, switches, network controllers, NFV, BGP, MPLS, QoS, DNS/DHCP).
• Knowledge of Network Security technologies and protocols (i.e. Firewall, IPS, WAF, VPN, IPSEC, DDoS, NAT, 802.1x, SWG, UTM, TLS).
• Knowledge of Internet Protocol Telephony (IPT) and Unified Communications Technologies.
• Problem management and analysis skills.
• Capacity planning skills.
