Job summary

Korn Ferry partnered client seeks a Product Control Lead in the UAE to lead daily P&L production and valuation control, ensuring accurate trading/treasury results and robust front-to-back controls from day one.

You will build the product control capability, lead IPV processes, and design scalable reconciliations while collaborating with Treasury, Risk, and Financial Control to deliver auditable results in a fast-evolving digital-first environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product control or valuation control within financial services.
• Deep expertise in daily P&L production and attribution, valuation control, and trader-to-ledger reconciliation.
• Proven record of building product control processes in a regulated environment.
• Experience standing up product control in a new or newly licensed institution, or a greenfield build, preferred.
• Strong knowledge of treasury and markets products and valuation/reporting standards.
• Experience with automated or AI-enabled product control and IPV processes.

Responsibilities

• Produce and sign off the daily P&L for treasury and trading activity with attribution by driver.
• Perform independent valuation control, reviewing marks, curves, and inputs against reliable sources.
• Reconcile front-office positions and P&L to the general ledger and clear breaks.
• Explain and challenge P&L movements with the front office and escalate anomalies.
• Maintain the product control framework including IPV and price testing.
• Support new product approvals by assessing valuation, booking, and control implications.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Risk, and Financial Control to ensure consistency.
• Design daily P&L production, attribution, and IPV for treasury activity ahead of launch.
• Build trader-to-ledger reconciliation and a scalable control framework.
• Develop an AI-enabled P&L and valuation control operating model for daily production.

• Korn Ferry has partnered with our client in their search for a full-time Product Control Lead.
• Our client is A leading institution in the UAE is building and scaling a digital-first financial services organisation. The organisation will initially focus on client segments in the UAE, including mid to large corporates and institutional clients, with plans to expand into additional segments over time. Backed by a strong balance sheet and significant business pipeline, it aims to become a modern, AI-enabled full-service organisation in the UAE.

Role Purpose

• Own daily P&L production and attribution, valuation control, and trader-to-ledger reconciliation.
• Make sure trading and treasury results are accurate, explained, and independently controlled.
• Build the product control capability from the ground up, so the organisation can trust its market-facing P&L and valuations from day one.

Key Responsibilities

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years in product control or valuation control within financial services.
• Deep expertise in daily P&L production and attribution, valuation control, and trader-to-ledger reconciliation.
• Proven record of building product control processes and controls in a regulated environment.
• Experience standing up product control in a new or newly licensed institution, or a similar greenfield build, is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of treasury and markets products and the relevant valuation and reporting standards.
• Experience with automated or AI-enabled product control, valuation control, and reconciliation, plus advanced P&L and valuation analytics.
• Strong control mindset, with the confidence to challenge constructively and elevate promptly.
• Clear communicator who can explain complex finance matters to senior stakeholders and regulators.
• Comfortable in ambiguity and fast-changing settings, and able to set up processes and frameworks where none exist yet.

Qualifications & Certifications (Preferred)

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a quantitative discipline. A relevant postgraduate qualification is a plus.
• Recognised professional finance or accounting qualification, such as CFA, ACA, ACCA, or CPA.
• Ability to meet local regulatory approval requirements where the role holds a controlled function.
