Job summary

edari in Dubai is seeking a seasoned Procurement Specialist to manage end-to-end procurement activities, support strategic sourcing initiatives, and ensure timely, cost-effective acquisitions for our client in Dubai. The role requires 5+ years of relevant procurement experience, strong supplier management and category management, and a solid understanding of spend analysis, market intelligence, and negotiation.

UAE experience is preferred and CIPS would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant procurement experience with exposure to strategic sourcing.
• Experience in indirect procurement and/or professional services categories preferred.
• Strong understanding of sourcing, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract management.
• Experience in spend analysis, market intelligence, benchmarking, and cost optimisation.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• UAE experience preferred; CIPS certification would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities, from sourcing and supplier evaluation through to negotiation and contract award.
• Support category management and strategic sourcing initiatives in line with business requirements.
• Conduct spend analysis, market research, benchmarking, and supplier assessments to identify cost-saving and value-creation opportunities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Lead or support sourcing projects, including RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, bid evaluations, negotiations, and recommendations.
• Monitor supplier performance, commercial terms, service levels, and compliance with contractual requirements.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, process improvements, and increased procurement efficiency.
• Ensure procurement activities are aligned with company policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
• Prepare procurement reports, analysis, and recommendations for management.
• Collaborate with relevant business functions to understand requirements and deliver effective procurement solutions.
