Job summary

Core42, a leader in AI-powered cloud and digital infrastructure, is seeking a Procurement Specialist in Abu Dhabi to manage sourcing from requirement intake to Purchase Order issuance and supplier negotiations, ensuring compliant, cost-effective acquisitions.

You will work with Finance, Legal and business stakeholders, maintain governance across Source-to-Pay, drive cost savings, and optimize supplier performance using Coupa and other approved systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or a commercial function.
• Experience managing RFQs, RFPs, supplier evaluations and sourcing activities.
• Experience supporting supplier negotiations and procurement approval processes.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

The Procurement Specialist will manage sourcing and purchasing activities from the initial business requirement through supplier selection and Purchase Order issuance. The role supports the timely, compliant acquisition of goods and services while identifying opportunities to improve cost, supply continuity and supplier performance.

Working closely with business stakeholders, Finance, Legal and suppliers, you will provide practical procurement guidance and maintain strong controls across the Source-to-Pay lifecycle.

Your Key Responsibilities

Procurement and Sourcing

• Manage procurement activities from requirement intake through sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, award and Purchase Order issuance.
• Work with stakeholders to define specifications, quantities, delivery needs and commercial expectations.
• Prepare and run Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and other approved sourcing processes.
• Evaluate supplier proposals using price analysis, benchmarking and total cost of ownership assessments. Prepare sourcing recommendations and approval documents.
• Support supplier negotiations to achieve competitive pricing and favourable commercial outcomes.
• Create and manage Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Purchase Rate Agreements and Framework Agreements using Coupa and other approved systems.

Supplier and Commercial Management

• Support supplier onboarding, due diligence and qualification.
• Maintain effective supplier relationships and help resolve commercial and operational issues.
• Monitor supplier performance against agreed cost, quality, service and delivery expectations, and support performance reviews and improvement plans.
• Identify cost saving and cost avoidance opportunities through sourcing, negotiation and demand management.
• Monitor market conditions, pricing trends and supplier developments. Identify and elevate supplier, commercial and supply chain risks.

Governance and Stakeholder Management

• Ensure procurement activities follow Core42's Procurement Policy, Delegation of Authority and approved sourcing procedures.
• Maintain appropriate competition, approvals, complete procurement records and clear audit trails.
• Support audits, compliance reviews and management reporting. Escalate policy deviations, governance concerns and conflicts of interest.
• Guide stakeholders through the procurement lifecycle and build effective working relationships with Finance, Legal, Technology, Operations and other business functions.
• Communicate sourcing recommendations, commercial considerations and risks clearly and in time to support decisions.

Reporting and Continuous Improvement

• Maintain accurate procurement and supplier data in relevant systems.
• Produce spend analysis, sourcing updates, savings reports and other procurement reporting.
• Monitor cycle times, Purchase Order accuracy, sourcing compliance, supplier outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Help improve procurement processes, policies, templates and tools to strengthen governance, efficiency and the stakeholder experience.

What We're Looking For

Required skills and qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Commerce, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Three to five years of experience in procurement, sourcing, purchasing, supply chain or a commercial function.
• Experience managing RFQs, RFPs, supplier evaluations and sourcing activities.
• Experience supporting supplier negotiations, commercial assessments and procurement approval processes.
• Strong understanding of procurement governance, compliance and internal controls.
• Ability to analyse quotations, pricing models and commercial proposals.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, negotiation and organisational skills, with close attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple procurement activities and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP, eProcurement or Source-to-Pay platforms.

Preferred skills and qualifications

• Experience with Coupa or a similar procurement platform.
• Experience in technology, telecommunications, cloud, infrastructure, data centre or a related industry.
• MCIPS, CIPS Level 4 or above, or active progress towards a recognised procurement qualification.
