Job summary

Duruper is seeking an experienced Procurement QC Engineer – Mechanical to oversee QA/QC activities for mechanical equipment, materials and components procured for complex projects. You will ensure items comply with drawings, codes, standards, and project quality requirements through vendor inspections and document reviews.

The role requires hands-on QC in vendor inspections, FAT coordination and strong knowledge of ASME/API/ASTM standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience in Procurement Quality Control or Vendor Inspection for mechanical equipment in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, EPC or Industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of ASME, API, ASTM, AWS and other international quality standards.
• Experience reviewing ITPs, QAPs, drawings, specifications, MTCs and vendor quality documentation.
• Hands-on vendor inspection, FAT activities and quality surveillance.

Responsibilities

• Review purchase specs, drawings, datasheets, ITPs, QAPs and quality requirements for mechanical equipment and materials.
• Coordinate vendor inspections, source inspections and quality surveillance at manufacturing facilities.
• Inspect equipment and materials for compliance with specs and standards.
• Review MTCs, inspection reports, test and welding records, and other quality documents.
• Coordinate FAT, hydrostatic testing and performance testing; monitor manufacturing and material traceability.
• Identify and follow up on NCRs and deviations with vendors; ensure timely submission of VDBs and MDRs.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Procurement QC Engineer – Mechanical to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities related to the procurement of mechanical equipment, materials and components. The role will be responsible for ensuring that procured items comply with approved specifications, drawings, applicable codes, standards and project quality requirements through vendor inspections, document review and quality surveillance.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Review purchase specifications, drawings, datasheets, ITPs, QAPs and quality requirements for mechanical equipment and materials.
• Conduct and coordinate vendor inspections, source inspections and quality surveillance at manufacturing facilities.
• Inspect mechanical equipment and materials for compliance with approved specifications, drawings and applicable standards.
• Review MTCs, inspection reports, test certificates, calibration certificates, welding/NDT records and other quality documents.
• Monitor manufacturing, fabrication, testing, dimensional inspection and material traceability activities.
• Coordinate FAT, hydrostatic testing, performance testing and other required inspection/testing activities.
• Identify, document and follow up on NCRs, deviations and quality issues with vendors and suppliers.
• Ensure timely submission and approval of Vendor Data Books (VDB), MDRs and quality dossiers.
• Coordinate with procurement, engineering, vendors, third-party inspectors and project teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with project specifications, applicable codes, standards and quality procedures.

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Proven experience in Procurement Quality Control / Vendor Inspection / Mechanical QC.
• Experience with mechanical equipment, materials and components used in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, EPC or Industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of ASME, API, ASTM, AWS and applicable international quality standards.
• Experience in reviewing ITPs, QAPs, drawings, specifications, MTCs and vendor quality documentation.
• Hands-on experience in vendor inspection, source inspection and FAT activities.
• Knowledge of NDT, welding, dimensional inspection, pressure testing and material traceability.
• Good understanding of NCR, deviation and corrective-action processes.
• Strong communication, coordination and technical documentation skills.
