Responsibilities
  • Conducts purchasing and contract related activities as per the procurement policies and procedures and ensures authorizations and documentation are obtained as required.
  • Liaises with suppliers and concerned departments on any procurement related activities, procedures, order status and problem resolution.
  • Executes the procurement activities of Otis - Entity facilities and ensuring that Otis - Entity’s procurement terms and conditions are complied with.
  • Generates and issues purchase orders based on approved awards to vendors / suppliers.
  • Liaises with the vendors / suppliers frequently to coordinate logistics requirements including customs clearance, port of delivery etc.
  • Reports ad hoc problems such as bid disputes and supplier protests in collaboration with concerned departments.
  • Reports all incidents or irregularities in a prompt manner, and escalates issues to appropriate parties, in order to manage issues which may impact the supply chain operations.
  • Assists with the development and revision of procurement and contracting policies, procedures and strategies as appropriate.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management / Administration or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in performing purchasing and logistics operations in a multinational organization
  • Fluent written and spoken English essential, Arabic preferred
  • UAE Nationals preferred
