Job summary

CarniStore seeks a proactive Procurement Executive to manage local purchasing and end-to-end import operations in the UAE. You will coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and regulators to ensure timely, compliant deliveries.

The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. English proficiency is essential; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in procurement and import operations.
• Strong knowledge of UAE import procedures and systems (FIRS, Montaji/ZDLM, Mirsal 2).
• Experience in food/meat import is a strong advantage.
• Proven negotiation and supplier management skills.
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in English (Arabic is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Source and issue purchase orders for local procurement and manage supplier follow-up.
• Negotiate with local suppliers to obtain competitive pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
• Review and validate import documents prior to shipment arrival.

Job description

We are seeking a proactive Procurement Executive to manage local purchasing activities and oversee import operations end-to-end. The role requires strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of UAE import regulations to ensure the timely and compliant supply of goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day local procurement, including sourcing, issuing purchase orders, and supplier follow-up
• Negotiate with local suppliers to achieve competitive pricing, quality, and delivery terms
• Review and validate all import documentation (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Health Certificate, Certificate of Origin) prior to shipment arrival
• Handle product registration and approvals through Dubai Municipality systems (FIRS, Montaji/ZDLM)
• Coordinate with freight forwarders on shipment planning, documentation, and delivery schedules
• Oversee customs clearance through Dubai Customs (Mirsal 2) and ensure timely release of shipments
• Liaise with regulatory authorities (Dubai Municipality, MOCCAE) for permits, inspections, and compliance requirements
• Track shipments end-to-end and proactively resolve operational or documentation issues
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, imports, and supplier performance
