Job summary

Gulf Contracting & Landscaping (GCL) in Dubai is seeking a Procurement Engineer to drive technical sourcing, vendor evaluation, cost estimation, and contract support for construction materials and subcontractor packages. You will work closely with engineering, project management, and site teams to meet project specs, QHSE standards, budget, and schedule.

Qualifications

Minimum 3–6 years of experience in procurement/buying within building construction.
Hands-on experience in technical sourcing of construction materials and subcontractor packages.
Familiarity with BOQs, technical specs, and construction drawings.

Responsibilities

Carry out technical sourcing of construction materials and subcontractor packages in line with project specs and BOQs.
Prepare and issue RFQs with complete scope and technical accuracy.
Conduct technical and commercial evaluation of vendor quotations and prepare bid tabulations.
Prepare detailed cost estimates and cost comparisons for materials and subcontractor packages.
Support negotiations of technical and commercial terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
Verify compliance with specifications, submittals, and quality standards.
Coordinate with QA/QC and site teams on MIRs and approvals.
Maintain supplier/subcontractor database and performance records.
Monitor delivery schedules and assist in finalizing subcontract/agreements.
Support continuous improvement and standardization of specs and procurement templates.
