Job summary

Integrated Energy Group in the UAE seeks a Senior Process Safety Advisor to act as technical authority for a major-hazard operating asset. You will establish and assure a risk-based PSM framework across the asset lifecycle.

Responsibilities include leading or assuring HAZOP/HAZID/PHA studies, governing MOC and PSSR, and ensuring Safety Critical Elements and barrier integrity while advising Operations, Engineering, Projects and senior EHS stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Senior Process Safety experience in major-hazard environments.
• Experience leading or safeguarding PSMS frameworks and risk-based decisions.
• Structured incident investigation familiarity is a plus.

PROCESS SAFETY ADVISOR - Senior Role | Integrated Energy Group | UAE

A large, integrated energy operator in the UAE is looking for a senior Process Safety specialist to act as principal technical authority across a major-hazard operating asset. This is a confidential search — full details shared with shortlisted candidates.

The role

You’ll be the senior Process Safety focal point for a live operating plant — establishing and assuring a risk-based Process Safety Management (PSM) framework across the full asset lifecycle. You’ll lead or technically assure HAZOP/HAZID/PHA studies, govern Management of Change (MOC) and Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR), and hold authority over Safety Critical Elements and barrier assurance. You’ll influence Operations, Engineering, Projects and senior EHS stakeholders on risk acceptance and technical integrity — this is a technical authority role, not a compliance-monitoring one.

What we’re looking for

• ~20 years in petroleum, oil & gas, refining, gas-processing or petrochemical major-hazard environments, including at least 10 years of substantial Process Safety / risk-management leadership
• Personal ownership or governance of PSM elements — not just participation in HSE studies
• Demonstrated SCE/barrier assurance and interface with technical integrity
• Structured incident investigation experience (TapRooT, Tripod Beta or equivalent)
• NEBOSH Process Safety, IChemE/CCPS or equivalent credentials a strong plus
