Job summary

Irving Scott Limited is seeking a live-out Private Chef for a Dubai-based family. You will own the kitchen and all family meals five days a week, cooking healthy, Mediterranean-inspired dishes with in-house bread.

We welcome a chef with at least one year of private household experience who can run a kitchen independently, ensure hygiene, source quality ingredients, and manage stock and menus for adults and children.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a private chef in a household.
• Strong knowledge of Mediterranean cooking and healthy, nutritious food
• Skilled at bread making
• Able to run a kitchen independently, with high standards of hygiene and organisation
• Already based in Dubai, or knows Dubai well and wishes to relocate
• Good knowledge of local services and suppliers, such as organic grocers, butchers, fishmongers and markets
• A valid driving licence

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and serve all family meals, suited to both adults and children
• Take full responsibility for the kitchen: cleanliness, organisation, food safety and equipment
• Source high-quality, organic and seasonal ingredients from Dubai's best suppliers, markets and specialist shops
• Manage kitchen stock, ordering and the food budget
• Bake fresh bread at home on a regular basis
• Create varied, balanced weekly menus and adapt them to the family's preferences and any dietary needs
• Work smoothly alongside the House Manager and wider household team

The role

A private family in Dubai is looking for a live-out Private Chef to take full ownership of the kitchen and all family meals, five days a week. The cooking is healthy, ingredient-led and Mediterranean in spirit: lean, nutritious food that is full of flavour, with bread baked in-house.

This is an excellent next step for a chef with at least one year of private household experience who wants to build their career in the private sector.

The household

• A family of four: two adults and two children
• No pets
• Based in Dubai, with no travel involved
• A supportive team of household staff, including a House Manager, housekeepers and drivers
• The kitchen is the chef's sole responsibility, so you will run it as your own

Key responsibilities
