Job summary
EDGE in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer focused on User Interface (HFI/UI/UX) to support a complex Defence Communications and C2 system. You will contribute to design, development, integration, and maintenance of mission-critical software components, collaborating with systems engineers, software architects, and test teams.

Qualifications
- Degree in Software Engineering or equivalent
- 10+ years in software development, preferably in defence or mission-critical systems
- Strong Java development skills and UI/UX focus
- Experience analysing designs from Human Factors perspectives
Responsibilities
- Produce UI requirements based on end-user input and analysis
- Develop design concepts with usability focus
- Create prototypes and evaluate operational scenarios
- Contribute to architecture, design, and integration across distributed systems
- Produce/maintain software artefacts; participate in design reviews
- Ensure quality via automated tests and code reviews
