Schneider Electric in the United Arab Emirates seeks a System Architect – Electrical to own end-to-end electrical architecture for datacenter solutions, from utility input through UPS, distribution, monitoring and rack-level power delivery. You will work with KAM, Solution Architect, and EPC teams to shape technical positioning and win deals.
The role requires 8–14 years in datacenter electrical design, experience with UPS topologies, grounding, BMS integration, and compliance with IEC/IEEE/NEC.
The System Architect – Electrical is the power distribution and electrical systems authority for assigned strategic accounts within the zone. This role owns the end-to-end electrical architecture for datacenter solutions, from primary utility input through UPS systems, distribution, monitoring, to rack-level power delivery. Working as a core member of the account fighting unit with the Key Account Manager and Segment Solution Architect, the SAE-Electrical strengthens technical positioning and drives successful deal closure. The role is accountable for electrical solution quality, code compliance, technical standards adherence, and building deep customer credibility at the electrical engineering level.
Design complete electrical and power distribution systems for datacenter solutions:
Expert-level competency required across power distribution, UPS systems, and electrical compliance. This person must be the most technically credible voice in the room on electrical design (Hero Offers, MV/LV solutions, and grid expertise) when presenting to enterprise and hyperscaler engineering teams.
Primary Infrastructure: Utility service analysis, transformer selection (oil-filled, dry-type, k-factor), switchgear/MCC design, grounding systems
UPS & Backup Power: Modular and monolithic UPS topologies, battery sizing and runtime, parallel UPS systems, static transfer switches, generator integration
Distribution & PDUs: Primary/secondary distribution, rack PDU selection (metered, switched, smart), overcurrent protection coordination, voltage optimization
Monitoring & Control: BMS/DCIM integration, SNMP/Modbus/BACnet protocols, real-time alerting, predictive maintenance capabilities, power quality monitoring
Compliance & Standards: IEC, IEEE, NEC/local electrical codes, Uptime Institute Tier electrical criteria, EN 50600, fire protection integration
AI DC: GPU power profiles (Nvidia, AMD), heterogeneous load management, power sequencing for dense racks, immersion cooling electrical considerations
