Emirates Group in Dubai, UAE, seeks a Principal Solutions Architect – Integrations to lead the Enterprise Integration & API Modernisation programme and define the organization-wide integration architecture strategy.

You will guide standards, drive AI-enabled integration initiatives, mentor architects, and collaborate with security, cloud, and business teams to deliver scalable platforms.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related discipline.
• 12+ years IT experience with 5+ years in integration/architecture leadership.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale integration platforms and APIs.

Principal Solutions Architect – Integrations (Dubai, UAE)

Principal Solutions Architect – Integrations at Emirates Group leads the Enterprise Integration & API Modernisation programme. The role defines and governs the organization‑wide integration architecture strategy, standards, and roadmap to ensure alignment with business objectives, security, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition and governance of corporate and portfolio IT standards, guidelines, and practices, analysing new technologies and their strategic impact.
• Scout market and technology advancements, assess alignment with IT strategy, and drive updates to standards and assets.
• Showcase business value through Proof of Concepts and engage relevant IT teams.
• Lead solution architecture for new initiatives, vendor acquisitions, and enhancements of existing systems, ensuring quality and alignment with agile development practices.
• Drive architecture decisions, accounting for cost, schedule, complexity, technical debt, and performance.
• Provide expert advice and lead design reviews on technical and architectural standards, managing exceptions and new or amended standards.
• Lead architecture and technology initiatives across Agile Release Trains and Teams of Teams, acting as lead architect for development teams.
• Coach and manage Solutions Architects and senior engineering resources, and coordinate with peer architects and engineering teams.
• Own, maintain, and evolve the architecture roadmap for large projects, products, and platforms.
• Act as product owner for technical enablers, technical debt, quality improvements, and application modernization activities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline (minimum 12+3 years of education).
• 12+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in Integration, Enterprise, or Solution Architecture leadership roles.
• Proven experience designing enterprise‑scale integration platforms and digital ecosystems, including API Management, iPaaS, ESB, cloud integration, messaging, event streaming, and microservices.
• Hands‑on expertise with SnapLogic, TIBCO, Informatica, Kong, Apigee, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Solace, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Vertex AI, Amazon Bedrock, Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, Elastic, and OpenTelemetry.
• Experience leading enterprise‑scale API, integration, and platform modernization initiatives covering legacy transformation, cloud migration, and AI enablement.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise integration standards, patterns, reference architectures, and lifecycle management practices.
• Leadership experience managing technical architects and senior developers.
• Experience advocating AI‑assisted integration development, including AI‑powered API design and documentation.
• Senior stakeholder engagement across Enterprise Architecture, Engineering, Security, Cloud, and Business functions.
• AWS/Azure Certified Solutions Architect (preferred).
