Qualifications

8+ years of experience as a solution architect or senior technical architect, preferably in finance.
Experience integrating front-office, back-office and reporting systems.
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent; relevant certifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

Architect and document end-to-end solutions for investment, portfolio and operational systems.
Translate business requirements into architecture designs, roadmaps and artefacts.
Define APIs, integration patterns and data models for interoperability across front, middle and back-office systems.
Establish non-functional requirements for security, resilience and observability and ensure they are enforced.
Lead architecture governance, code and design reviews to maintain standards.
Evaluate cloud platforms, middleware and third-party applications; recommend fit-for-purpose options.
Support vendor due diligence, proofs of concept and procurement processes.
Mentor engineering teams on API design, data management and CI/CD.

Job Description

The Solution Architect will define and own the technical architecture for platforms that underpin deal execution, portfolio administration and enterprise reporting. The role requires creating scalable, secure and auditable solutions that meet regulatory obligations while enabling commercial agility. Success will be measured by the reliability of production systems, the speed of delivery for strategic capability roadmaps and the reduction of operational friction across investment processes. The role reports to senior technology leadership and partners closely with investment, operations and compliance functions to translate business priorities into deliverable technical plans.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

Minimum 8 years of experience as a solution architect or senior technical architect, preferably within finance, banking or investment firms.
Demonstrated experience integrating front-office, back-office and reporting systems.
Strong expertise in cloud-native architectures, API-first design and middleware solutions.
Proven understanding of security controls, resilience engineering and regulatory requirements for financial systems.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to present technical strategies to executive stakeholders.
Experience leading vendor selection, proofs of concept and technical due diligence.
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent professional experience; relevant certifications are advantageous.
