In this role you will:

• Lead the technical design, development and deployment of complex software solutions across teams. Carry out effective technical design reviews to ensure that the right architecture patterns are used by engineering teams.
• Champion development of best engineering practices and modernization techniques including process automation, lean software development, built‑in‑quality, test driven development, agile practices, optimal pairing strategies and timely root cause analysis and blameless incident post‑mortems. Support defining and refining the software engineering playbooks for use by relevant people in Technology.
• Provide technical leadership and partner with cross‑functional teams during discovery phase and in the development of high level design of medium to large projects. Drive proof‑of‑concepts and implement prototypes to validate ideas. Investigate, debug and fix complex issues involving corner cases and rare conditions.
• Identify and develop framework, tools and practices to improve delivery quality of technology solutions and productivity of engineers.
• Responsible for the measurement and monitoring of engineering metrics that enable agility, scalability, data quality and reliability of technology solutions across the enterprise.
• Contribute to the creation of world class engineering practices, play books and artefacts required to drive technical career of software engineers in line with the software engineering strategy. Support and guide the team of engineers in working autonomously in multi‑disciplinary release trains.
• Ensure optimal use of enterprise application platforms, tools and libraries in line with the approved technology architecture and associated Software Vendors.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of interdependencies and limitations within assigned technology area and solution operational context. Provide leadership, guidance and ongoing engagement with technical teams in the effective technical documentation of developed software.
• Manage multiple assigned teams, with accountability for hiring top talent, define development goals, manage performance, mentor and coach.
• Guide and support software engineering team definition decisions and staff movements according to program requirements, staff capability and development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computational Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering and enterprise IT, delivering complex, scalable, and high‑availability systems across digital, data, or enterprise domains.
• Proven technical leadership experience across large‑scale solution domains, including guiding and influencing 100+ software engineers in environments such as: Web and Mobile Applications, Omni‑channel Digital Platforms, Enterprise Systems Integration, Revenue Management, and Loyalty Platforms.
• Strong experience as an Oracle ERP Techno‑Functional Consultant, with deep expertise in at least one of the following areas: Supply Chain: Inventory, Order Management, Purchasing, iProcurement, iSupplier. Finance: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Tax Modules.
• In‑depth hands‑on knowledge of end‑to‑end ERP business processes, including Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P), Order‑to‑Cash (O2C), Integrated tax configuration within Oracle E‑Business Suite (EBS) and Oracle Fusion ERP.
• Demonstrated ability to drive business and technical discussions to adopt standard ERP processes, reduce customisation, and simplify complex ERP integration landscapes.
• Proven expertise in API design and implementation using Oracle EBS ISG Framework or Oracle Fusion OIC Framework.
• Strong full‑stack development capabilities supporting enterprise‑grade integrations and services.
• Deep hands‑on experience with Oracle EBS extensions, including Workflow, PL/SQL, XML Publisher, XML Gateway, and Java.
• Working knowledge of Oracle Analytics on OCI and Enterprise Command Centre (ECC) for EBS.
• Practical experience with modern Oracle platforms and UI technologies, including Oracle Application Framework (OAF) with CLAF extensions, Oracle APEX, Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS).
• Demonstrated ability to adopt emerging technologies, build proofs of concept (POCs), and enable business adoption of new features and platforms.
• Strong architectural mindset with focus on scalability, performance, security, resilience, and maintainability.
• Proven capability to mentor senior engineers, influence engineering standards, and set technical direction across large, distributed engineering teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to business, leadership, and executive audiences.
• Prior experience within the aviation or travel industry is highly desirable.
• Exposure to Oracle JET is a strong advantage.
