Job summary

EDGE Group is seeking a Lead Engineer – Networking based in Abu Dhabi to design, implement, test, and optimize secure IP-based networks for high‑profile security and defense projects. You will ensure robust, highly available networks linking sensors, cameras, VMS, RF systems, and C4ISR platforms.

You will lead engineering teams, collaborate with vendors, and uphold cybersecurity best practices while delivering mission-critical infrastructure on time and to spec.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, IT, Telecommunications or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in network engineering, design, implementation and support.
• Strong understanding of IP networking, routing, switching and network security principles.
• Experience with enterprise-grade networking technologies and infrastructure.
• Experience integrating networks within command-and-control, surveillance, or security environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, performance monitoring and optimization skills.
• Experience in complex, multi-vendor integration environments.
• Professional fluency in Spanish and English for stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of secure IP-based network infrastructures for security and surveillance solutions.
• Develop networking solutions meeting operational, cybersecurity, scalability, performance, and availability requirements.
• Ensure seamless integration between sensors, radars, cameras, VMS, command centers, access control, RF systems, and C4ISR platforms.
• Conduct network integration, testing, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and acceptance activities.
• Prepare network design documentation, implementation plans, technical specifications, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership for issue resolution and system optimization.
• Support project planning, technical reviews, risk management, and customer engagements.
• Provide mentorship to engineering teams.
