Job summary

Edge Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking a senior Software Engineer to develop embedded software for unmanned vehicles, including Flight and Mission Computers and Payload management. You will document, test, and review your code, ensuring high-quality results while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a B.Eng in electronics/computing and at least 7 years in aerospace software, with strong C/C++ skills, RTOS knowledge, DO-177C experience, and a solid grasp of system

Qualifications

• B.Eng. in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• 7+ years working experience in embedded software development environment (aerospace).
• Experience in aerospace software development processes, such as DO-177C.
• Familiarity with the system engineering and software development process.
• Solid programming experience in C/C++.
• Good knowledge of RTOS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces (I/O), and hardware subsystems.
• Strong problem solving and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for Flight Computer, Mission Computer and Payload Management.
• Document, test and review developed software to ensure high quality end product.
• Collaborate closely with specialists in a multidisciplinary team.
