Job summary

EDGE, based in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a seasoned software engineer to develop embedded software for unmanned vehicles, including Flight and Mission Computers and Payload Management. You will document, test, and review code, support system qualification, and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team while adhering to the ADASI code of conduct.

Ideal candidates hold a B.Eng. in Electronic/Computer Engineering or CS with at least 7 years in aerospace embedded development, and strong C/C++ expertise,

Qualifications

• B.Eng. in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Minimum 7 years working experience in embedded software development environment (aerospace).
• Experience in aerospace software development processes, such as DO-178C.
• Familiarity with the system engineering and software development process.
• Solid programming experience in C/C++.
• Good knowledge of RTOS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces (I/O), and hardware subsystems
• Good software design, problem solving and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software as required, including Flight Computer, Mission Computer and Payload Management.
• Document, test and review developed software to ensure a high quality end product.
• Support system qualification.
• Work closely with specialists in a multidisciplinary team.
• Adhere to ADASI code of conduct.
