Job summary

Egen is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to lead enterprise-scale cloud transformations in the Dubai region. You will shape multi-year cloud strategy, govern global standards, and mentor a team of senior engineers while collaborating with Data & AI to align roadmaps.

The role emphasizes Google Cloud mastery, multi-cloud design, and DevSecOps; experience with Terraform and programming in Java or Python is required to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in cloud architecture leadership overseeing enterprise-scale transformations.
• Mastery of Google Cloud services, networking, and security.
• Experience with AWS or Azure architecture.
• Proficient in Terraform IaC.
• Experience in Java or Python.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor to teams, executives and technical leadership.
• Define multi-year enterprise cloud strategy for adoption, migration and modernization on Google Cloud.
• Establish global cloud governance frameworks, architectural standards, and reusable patterns.
• Drive advanced DevOps practices and cloud cost optimization initiatives.
• Architect and lead implementation of large-scale solutions using GKE, Dataflow, BigQuery, Cloud Run, Vertex AI, and Cloud Spanner.
• Design integration patterns for hybrid and multi-cloud systems with secure IAM.
• Define DevSecOps and cloud security posture to meet regulatory requirements like GDPR and HIPAA.
• Lead PoC initiatives for emerging technologies like Generative AI.
• Mentor and coach Senior/Lead Cloud Engineers.
• Collaborate with Data & AI teams to align architectural decisions with product roadmaps.

Requirements

• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java or Python)

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification
• Professional/Expert-level certification from a secondary cloud provider (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional)
