Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with PGCE or recognised teaching qualification.
• Six years of teaching experience.
• Experience of the UK curriculum.
• Commitment to an extensive enrichment programme.
• Passionate and caring approach to education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies reflecting the school’s vision and high standards of achievement and teaching.
• Establish, monitor and evaluate short, medium and long-term plans for departmental development.
• Use data effectively to identify underachieving students and create action plans.
• Analyse and interpret school data to inform policies and self-evaluation.
• Ensure schemes of work are developed and reviewed for all year groups, including SEN/G&T/EAL.
• Ensure curriculum coverage and progression for all students.
• Set expectations for staff regarding standards and behaviour.
• Evaluate teaching quality and take action to improve practice.
• Contribute to CAS Programme and after-school booster sessions.
• Performance manage the team per school policy.
• Deploy staff and resources efficiently, including budgets.
• Maintain a stimulating learning environment.
