Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or BA with PGCE required.
• Minimum of 3 years teaching English National Curriculum.
• Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills within a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Strategic direction and development of the department.
• Establish and monitor short-, medium- and long-term plans for department development.
• Use data to identify underachieving students and implement support plans.
• Ensure schemes of work reflect SEN/POD, G&T, and EAL needs.
• Lead staff performance and professional standards.
• Manage department resources and budget effectively.
• Undertake duties as part of staff rota and support examinations.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Bachelor of Arts Degree with PGCE in Education or teaching qualification
