Job summary

Aldar Education is seeking an outstanding Head of Year (Primary) to join Muna British Academy in Abu Dhabi, commencing January 2027. A leader with a strong track record in English National Curriculum delivery and school improvement is required.

The role involves shaping curriculum development, leading teaching and learning, managing staff, and ensuring effective use of resources within a high-performing campus on Saadiyat Lagoons.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or BA with PGCE in Education.
• Minimum of 3 years teaching English National Curriculum.
• Ability to align with the values and culture of the region.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies and practices for the department which reflect the School’s vision, aims, commitment to high standards of achievement, and effective teaching and learning.
• Establish, monitor and evaluate short, medium and long-term plans for the development of the department.
• Use data effectively to identify students who are underachieving in the department; create and implement plans of action to support those students.
• Analyse and interpret relevant school data to inform policies and department/school SEF writing.
• Ensure that appropriate and relevant schemes of work are developed, in place, and regularly reviewed and evaluated, for all year groups and courses.
