Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as a sewing-machine operator in garment factories.
• Proficiency with industrial machines including straight stitch, overlock, serger, double needle.
• Good attention to detail and precision.
• Ability to follow patterns and templates.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for minor machine issues.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate various sewing machines to sew garment components.
• Set up sewing machines with threads, needles, and materials for the garment being produced.
• Sew fabric pieces together to form finished garments with precise stitching.
• Adjust stitch length, tension, and machine settings for consistent quality.
• Follow patterns or templates to create correct garment structure.
• Inspect finished garments for defects and correct issues.
• Report major machine malfunctions to supervisors for repair or replacement.
• Meet daily production targets for the number of garments sewn with quality.
